Shenanigan Farms

Bought a small place in Emmett, ID. Moved Robyn, the dogs, the sheep and the goats. All of the livestock are out on pasture! They are happy critters. No more Arizona dust bowl. Robyn has a new job and really loves being home in Idaho. Spent the last week up there with everybody. It was wonderful.

Robyn and I visited the Florea family in Paulden, AZ today and came home with not one but two Dexter heifers. They are a little on the wild side, but we hope to have them eating out of our hand soon. Been checking out Dexter pages on the net since we got home...lol...

So much has happened this month. Flash and Ty had a nasty bout with some type of virus and spent several days at the vet each. They are doing wonderful now though and anxious to work some sheep! Bought a "new" Chevy pickup and a 5th wheel camp trailer so we can "trial in style" this fall and next year. Going down to the CP Ranch to pick up Anna and work some dogs. Craig has been training her for me for me since he got back from the Bluegrass. Can't wait to see her progress! Work is .... well work. Can't wait for a vacation.

June 2010

Robyn went to Nogales to house sit for Craig and Carrie while they toured the country and trialled at the Bluegrass! Spent some time visiting and training with Craig when they got home and had the chance to partner with Dave while there. Match made in heaven! She purchased Dave from Carrie and brought him home with her. This Bill and Pippa son is a welcome addition to our family.

Our newest pup, Ben, will be arriving on February 23rd. He's flying in from Abingdon Border Collies in Oregon. Check out his pedigree info on the Border Collie page.

The first week of December 2009 we bred Maggie to Raider. Raider belongs to a friend and neighbor. He is out of Hanging Tree border collie bloodlines from Salmon, Idaho. 4 males and 1 female! Exciting things happening at Shenanigan Farms.

We picked Anna and Kinley up at the airport in Las Vegas tonight. So excited to finally have them here! Anna will be a year old the first part of February and flew in all the way from Connecticut. She is ready to start training and we look forward to seeing her on sheep. Thanks to Bev Lambert for letting us add her to our family. Kinley was born in November and is one busy little pup. She is very alert and doesn't miss much that goes on around her. She flew in from Abingdon Border Collies in Oregon.

Finn, our new Dorper ram lamb arrived at Shenanigan Farms today. We are so excited! He is a welcome addition to our flock. We purchased him from Frank and Cindy Toste of the Rockin Toste Ranch in Oakdale, CA. He is now in with two girls and hopefully we will have our first lambs from him in February or March 2010!

Brian, Shannon and Daegan came to see us for a quick weekend visit. We had so much fun. We celebrated Shannon's birthday and also surprised her with a baby shower for Kaeleigh (who is due to arrive on November 21st). Daegan helped his dad with some fencing at Grandma's and got to feed the sheep! We miss all of them alot.
