It seems like we have always had animals of one sort or another. When the girls were little, we had horses and pygmy goats. We went through a period of being big city girls, and finally decided that just wasn't the lifestyle for us. We moved back to the "boonies" and purchased our little 5 acre farm in Kingman. I use the term "farm" loosely, since we don't grow crops or irrigate (no water). We raise registered Dorper sheep, Border Collies and Anatolian Shepherds. We also have two horses, QT and Rain. They are Robyn's babies.
We haven't attended any sheep dog trials yet, but are training toward that goal. Hopefully you will see us at a trial some time in the near future. I know Craig would say "Get to it!"
Just us two girls working at making Shenanigan Farms our own little piece of paradise. We now have pens for two horses and four separate pens for sheep. We are working on a round pen and hope to have it up soon. We started out with some Katahdin sheep we brought down from Idaho last year. They pretty much had the run of the place until this spring.

My daughter and her son Daegan recently came to visit and help Grandma after her surgery. Daegan is two and his favorite word is "SHEEP!!!" He slept most of the way back to Kingman from Phoenix after my surgery and woke up slightly twice to say "Gramama's sheepies?" It was so cute. Here he is helping feed.

Zoom in on the picture below to see the quail that were hanging out by our mailbox one evening.
